Mission Statement

 

First Church of God in Christ seeks to be a Biblical ministry of Excellence. Our ministry is designed to encourage life transformation through our threefold purpose: to Evangelize, Edify, and Equip the whole person to serve the community, and to reach the world for Jesus Christ. We strive to be compassionate in our love, excellent in our service, holy in our living, and passionate and reverent in our worship.

Statement of Faith

​

1. We believe the Bible to be the inspired and only infallible written Word of God.

2. We believe that there is only One God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son and, God the Holy Spirit.

3. We believe in the blessed Hope, which is the rapture of the Church of God, which is in Christ, at His return.

4. We believe that the only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance and faith in the precious Blood of Jesus Christ.

5. We believe that regeneration by the Holy Ghost is absolutely essential for personal salvation.

6. We believe that the redemptive work of Christ on the Cross provides healing for the human body in answer to believing prayer.

7. We believe that the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, according to Acts 2:4, is given to believers who ask for Him.

8. We believe in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a holy and separated life in the present world.

Statement of Purpose

We are Believers! We are part of God's body! All things are possible to us! We have the faith of God! We have the blood of Jesus! We have the Word of God in Jesus name! We are established in faith! We walk by faith and by the Word of God! We have no fear of bad news, devils, or any disastrous thing! We have the victory! We are overcomers! We are established in His word! We are blessed, healed, and prosperous! We have the joy of the Lord! We have an outreach ministry! Our pews are filled with faith-filled laborers! We are helping the hopeless! Our lives are changing for God's glory! Wrong habits are being broken! New ministries are being birthed by the Holy Ghost! Prophecies are being fulfilled daily! Prophets and Prophetesses are being raised by God! We are the seed of Abraham! God's provisions are evident in this congregation! We are worshippers and warriors! Therefore, God is doing great exploits through us!
